Bertelsmann Management Meeting 2003

For Bertelsmann’s 2003 Management Meeting, satis&fy was asked not only to plan and implement the lighting, sound, and video, but to design and create the entire stage & set. The expert crew provided the:

• Lighting design for the foyer of the German Historic Museum.
• Infrastructure behind the stage which included numerous production offices.
• Custom-designed lecterns with integrated preview capabilities.
• Video screen made up of two LED walls holding 36 square meters of projection surface.

The two-day congress on strategies, which received a lot of public attention, was held in Berlin at the German Historic Museum. This location presented satis&fy with many technical challenges, which they managed brilliantly. For instance, the difficult sound situation was solved with a DV-Dosc line-array. Besides being the optimal acoustic solution for the setting, the sound system was completely integrated into the back wall of the stage – making it visually appealing to the eye.

One of the more technical challenges was the motorized adjustable Teleprompter. It was satis&fy’s job to ensure that the Teleprompter automatically found the right position for each speaker. They achieved this goal by completely lowering the prompter into the stage.

Six hundred top managers attended the Congress and applauded their Chairman Gunter Thielen after his optimistic presentation. When their meetings were done, the managers were treated to live entertainment by vocalist Alicia Keys. For this performance, satis&fy was responsible for the technical execution and sound support.
