Discover the Interactive Bar Counter - TrackBar 2006

For the 10-year anniversary of the MetroGroup, event agency ProService awarded satis&fy the exciting challenge of introducing the “TrackBar.” The first ever interactive bar counter, satis&fy developed this product in collaboration with MESO.

The bar has a glass surface which has video projectors installed underneath it. The content is projected up onto the glass, but is influenced by objects placed on the glass as well as the movements of those standing nearby and touching the surface.

For instance, guests standing around the bar place a cup or wine glass on the surface of the table and watch what happens. Bubbles appear to be coming from beneath the object, waves are created by the movement of one’s hand, and particle streams pass from one object to another. The innovative design provoked curious interaction from amazed bystanders as they watched the amazing light show tracking their moves on the glass surface.

In addition, to further promote the MetroGroup, their event logo was integrated into the projected content. For this event, the bar consisted of two units, but for those interested in a larger size, it can be extended to create an even bigger interactive playground.
