John Deere Retailer Meeting 2006

For the presentation of their latest product line, John Deere invited 4,500 retailers from all over Europe to the Expo Center in Warsaw . The program was divided into six “waves.”

Twenty-five heavy-duty tractors were the “stars” of the retailer meeting. Therefore, due to the size of each tractor, a traditional stage design was out of the question. Instead, the stage was a huge wide area set up between a giant video screen and an audience bleacher system. Since the rigging capacities on-site were very limited, satis&fy created a ground support using their latest folding truss which allowed for a span of more than 100 feet.

Six 12,000 lumen projectors gave life to the 18×6 meter rear projection flat, which also served as the backdrop. Due to the many languages spoken by the various retailers, the audio and video content had to be produced for each individual “wave.” Using a time code, the adjusted audio was synched to the video.

During the opening show dancers held giant flags as they accompanied the tractors on the large stage. This resulted in quite a vivid and impressive, almost theatrical mix, of humans and machinery.

In addition to their responsibilities surrounding the main presentation, satis&fy also equipped the huge catering area and breakout rooms. Each breakout room showcased a new product in greater detail to the retailers.
