Gala der Jahresbesten Honors "Best of the Best"

On May 31st one of Germany’s largest insurance groups held a gala event at the Leipzig Media City Aterlier. Called “Gala der Jahresbesten,” host company Gothaer Allgemeine Versicherung AG, honored their best salesmen at this exclusive event held at the conclusion of their all-day convention.

Retail marketing expert LIGANOVA, called upon satis&fy to execute the creative design, technical planning and realization of their event concept. In addition to lighting, audio and video, the satis&fy team was responsible for building the stage set and dance floor as well as decorating the conference and party areas.

One of the unique challenges presented to the team was transforming the sober atmosphere of the meeting room into a festive evening gala in just 2 hours time. To achieve that goal, black curtains appeared from behind the white upstage backwalls. In front of these curtains, twelve (12) DMX-controlled, motorized screens were put in place to project various video playbacks.

Also contributing to the elegant gala atmosphere was the use of V*L 2500 spotlights, focusing special lighting on each table, complimented by Gobo projection for creative effects.

The company’s evening entertainment included magicians Topas, Roxane, Leo Martin and Andy Haussler, followed by music and dancing. To create the dramatic dance floor and lounge area, satis&fy stretched cloth over 120 rng mtr. of frames. The 20’ high frames defined the dance floor, but also provided private corners such as those you’d find in a nightclub or lounge. The atmosphere was further enhanced with the projection of six beaMovers and twenty (20) VL 3000 spot luminaires which lit up the dance floor.
