satis&fy gears up

Event and media technology specialist invests a million+ in L-ACOUSTICS K1/KUDO package

satis&fy AG Deutschland (satis&fy), a production company headquartered in Karben, has responded to customer demand by investing a seven-digit figure in the new K1/KUDO speaker system from L-ACOUSTICS. This makes satis&fy one of three owners of K1/KUDO systems in Germany. Designed and built by the French speaker manufacturer and pioneer of modern line arrays L-ACOUSTICS, this stadium PA will enhance satis&fy’s extensive pool of sound systems in time for the fall season. The company’s new K1 system comprises 48 K1, 24 KUDO, and 24 dV-DOSC line array components, as well as 24 K1-SB subwoofers, 24 SB28 subwoofers, and 18 LA-RAK racks. The company’s management says the investment is aimed to seize new market opportunities in high-end audio. K1 is L-ACOUSTICS’ new flagship rig for major gigs and the successor to the world’s leading line array, the celebrated V-DOSC. K1 is deployed mostly for live entertainment and touring purposes, and can easily cover even very long throw applications.

satis&fy CEO Nico Ubenauf lavishes praise on the new sound reinforcement system: “K1 is the standard by which large PAs are measured. L-ACOUSTICS has crafted a real masterpiece. For 15 years, V-DOSC was unbeatable, the ultimate line array. With K1, the French company has succeeded in surpassing that achievement and establishing a new industry benchmark. We are delighted that L-ACOUSTICS chose us so that we are able to take this incredible sound system on the road." Ubenauf is confident that the company will raise the bar for sound reinforcement at big events. The CEO added that the K1 system will enhance rather than replace the enterprise’s comprehensive pool of rental V-DOSC speakers.

The new line array system is stored at the company’s facilities in the North Rhine-Westphalian town of Werne. Also located there is Studio 20/20 – the company’s in-house rehearsal and production studio – where it conducts extensive equipment tests and trains technicians. Only trained and certified K1 engineers are allowed hit the road with the new flagship PA. Recapping the acquisition, Nico Ubenauf says, “The investment in K1 was a smart move because it entrenches our position as a premium touring partner and strengthens our long-standing partnership with L-ACOUSTICS."
