satis&fy invests in speedwall
Company buys exhibition stand system to boost its competitive edge and cut waste
satis&fy AG Deutschland (satis&fy) has invested a five-digit figure in SpeedWall, an exhibition stand system that is light, modular, multifunctional, and affordable. Now the enterprise has 100 meters of the flexible and stable exhibition stand system at its disposal. About 95 percent of the prefabricated elements are stored at the Karben location; the rest is in Berlin. “This new system gives us more clout on the exhibition support market, lets us offer even more attractive prices and act even more sustainably," notes Markus Stadler, head of the set design unit at satis&fy, commenting on the company’s decision to invest. Determined to find a more cost-effective, environmentally sound way of building booths, the company searched for a suitable system for nearly two years. “With SpeedDimension GmbH, we found a partner that is both innovative and tremendously supportive in developing new solutions," adds Stadler.
Lightweight and readily dismantled
The system’s basic elements are aluminum frames measuring 1-by-2.5 meters. Their light weight is particularly beneficial during transport and setup. They are also easily assembled, giving satis&fy another very good reason to invest in the system. “Equipped with simple spring-loaded fasteners, these elements are quickly stacked and connected to one another without requiring tools,” says Stadler, explaining how the system works. Smaller exhibits, larger designer stands, backdrops, large displays, and even two-story stands can be erected in no time at all. Once the framework is erected, the attached panels conveniently hide all the hardware. Stadler adds that stands are actually fun to build with this state-of-the-art kit.
The system is not only easy to use; it also offers plenty of paneling options. The aluminum frames accept conventional Forex and hardboard panels, as well as large, seamless screen and fabric panels. All panels are easily and snugly attached using Velcro or magnetic strips, and fully mask the underlying frame, creating the impression of one cohesive surface rather than a mosaic of panels.
Sustainable building materials
The head of set design at satis&fy sees another advantage in using SpeedWall. With the benefit of reusable aluminum frames, the company constructs far fewer custom exhibits made of wood, creating a lot less waste. Walls are filled with fully recyclable Sinus honeycomb made of recycled paper, which also contributes to sustainability. “Vast quantities of waste are generated when exhibition booths are built, and it has to be disposed of. This is why we have been thinking about how to best avoid waste when we construct such stands. With these aluminum frames, we now have at our disposal a material that we can use for a very long time and in very diverse ways.” declares Stadler. Stands are set up far faster with less energy expenditure, which also reduces the carbon footprint.
The system will be deployed for the first at a convention for midsized companies organized by conference service provider ConVent GmbH, as well as at the KarmaKonsumKonferenz on June 25 and 26 June.
