Sustainable event practices

As a technical service provider for events that consume a considerable energy, we are well aware of our responsibility to the environment. To show how seriously we take this responsibility, several years ago we installed photovoltaic solar panels on the unused sections of our warehouse roofs. Two years ago we began using AdBlue to reduce harmful emissions in all our trucks, thereby making a small but meaningful contribution to greener transportation and logistics.

We strive to deploy energy-sparing equipment when staging events, especially when the customer wishes us to do so. For instance, we use energy-conserving LED lamps rather than conventional stage lighting. What’s more, we are constantly looking for greener alternatives to all the materials we use at events. Case in point: We are one of the few providers of event technology to offer eco-friendly wood products certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). What’s more, satis&fy is among the first event technology providers to use fully recyclable, organic carpets. This material is collected at the satis&fy facilities in Werne and returned to the producer.

Exhibition design and construction companies can also take a more sustainable approach and reduce the amount of waste produced when building booths. satis&fy has employed SpeedWall, a modular system for constructing exhibition showcases, since July. Its reusable aluminum frames ensure we create a lot less waste than when we are compelled to construct custom exhibits of wood. The walls are paneled with fully recyclable Sinus honeycomb made of recycled paper, which also contributes to sustainability. The aluminum frames may be used in the most diverse configurations. They let us set up stands far faster with less energy expenditure, further reducing our carbon footprint.
