The 62nd Frankfurt Book Fair
satis&fy handles the technical side of the opening ceremony for the world’s biggest book show
President of Argentina Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner officially opened the 2010 Frankfurt Book Fair on Tuesday, October 5. The production company satis&fy AG Deutschland was retained to conceptualize, plan, and provide all the technical support for the opening ceremony in the Harmonie hall in the Congress Center on the fairgrounds. The Karben-based outfit also designed the stage’s backdrop, the digital print adorning the press wall, and the Frankfurter Buchmesse logo gracing the speaker lectern. The stage’s backdrop consisted of eleven decorative frames of varying width covered in two layers of material. The eleven back walls were arranged in staggered array to conjure a 3D effect. The satis&fy crew placed a frameless canvas in 16:9 format center-stage to serve as a screen for projections. A Watchout system threw images onto the stage backdrop and the frameless canvas screen while speakers approached and exited the podium. Milica Milinov, graduate of the Academy of Art and Design, developed the media content.
