World Track and Field Championships in Osaka 2006
NIKE Calls Upon satis&fy to Transform Swissotel Nankai
In 2006, during the 11th world track & field championships in Osaka, satis&fy was called upon once again by long-time client NIKE, Inc.
NIKE selected the Swissotel Nankai as its hub and asked the specialists at satis&fy to transform the hotel ballroom into a lounge with white walls and appropriate furniture. In addition to the lounge for the NIKE athletes, satis&fy set up a PR room for press interviews and dressed up the venue with various graphics and displays.
The eye-catching focal point of the lounge was four cubic ‘lantern’ structures made of drop-paper and un-inflammable material like rice paper. Backlit, the cubes set the tone for the Asian event, illuminating the room and providing projection surfaces.
The job was a successful collaboration between satis&fy’s European team and the help of local interpreters and partners. To date, this was satis&fy’s second big show to be staged in Asia this year.
