satis&fy at Berlin’s Rosenball
A crew of 60 satis&fy AG (satis&fy) employees from Karben have been busy in Berlin since Monday, June 5th, equipping the Intercontinental hotel’s grand ballroom with lighting, audio, and video gear. Preparations are underway for the Rosenball—the ‘rose ball’, to be held on Saturday, June 9th.
Seven semi-trailers with event equipment, including 1,000 meters of trusses and ten kilometers of cables, left the Dögelmühle industrial estate at Karben on Sunday heading for Germany’s capital. One of satis&fy’s tasks was to erect two 40 m² LED walls. The event specialists are also constructing a twelve-meter wide revolving stage. On Saturday the Rosenball will host performances by audience-pleasing acts such as iconic Welsh crooner Tom Jones and Graf von Unheilig. Many VIPs are expected to be in attendance.
The technicians have another two days to prepare the hotel ballroom for the big event. A test run will be held on Friday to check the lighting and audio effects.
The 2012 Rosenball marks the event’s tenth anniversary. Held under the patronage of Liz Mohn and Bertelsmann AG CEO Thomas Rabe, this gala charity ball benefits Stiftung Deutsche-Schlaganfall-Hilfe, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to stroke victims.
