satis&fy's next crop of trainees raring to go
“I am very proud to be able to pursue the vocational training of my choice, especially with my instructor of choice, satis&fy,” exclaimed Till Wehrheim. The 20-year-old from Nieder-Wöllstadt earned his qualifications for university entrance at the Kurt-Schumacher school in Karben over the summer, and started as an event manager trainee at satis&fy AG in Karben on the first of September. He is one of eight apprentices who decided to begin their careers with the full-service production company. Till was joined by one aspiring event management assistant, four event technicians, one visual marketing designer and one media designer—all of whom are embarking on their professional lives this fall. The trainees hail mainly from the Wetterau district and the Rhine-Main region.
Sound of Life
After a couple of orientation days, the trainees will head over to Frankfurt’s Galopprennbahn, a horse racecourse, for their first gig on Thursday, September 4th. The annual Sound of Life benefit concert will take place there on Saturday, September 6th—with all proceeds going to Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt e.V., a children’s cancer fund. satis&fy has supported the event for four years, furnishing equipment and man-power.
"The project was put into the hands of our young satis&fy trainees from the start. This way they learn how to plan and implement a project as a team—and on top of that, they discover that doing a good deed can be great fun," says Kai Bilges, an instructor for event technicians. Second-year apprentices will be there to assist the rookies.
With twelve new trainees joining the company at Werne, Berlin and Neuss in August, a total of 20 apprentices are currently in their first year at satis&fy. This brings the overall number of apprentices at satis&fy up to 45.
Deeply committed to quality vocational training, the company launched its apprenticeship program in 2001.
